Într-o casa modesta, formata din doua camere, o bucatarie, care necesita reparaţii, locuiesc cei doi soţi, Ana şi Dimitrie Velici, casatoriţi de peste 50 de ani. Deşi suferinţa ii impiedica sa se descurce singuri, soţii Velici incearca sa-şi pastreze curaţenia. Ei nu mai sunt foarte preocupaţi de lucrurile materiale, pentru ei fiind de ajuns o mancare calda şi medicamentele care-i menţin in viaţa. Singurul venit al familiei este pensia batranului din care-şi acopera cheltuielile lunare: gaz, curent, medicamente.
O data cu varsta, au aparut şi bolile care i-au impiedicat pe cei doi sa se descurce singuri. Dimitrie a lucrat mulţi ani la o uzina timişoreana de unde a ieşit la pensie. in urma unui atac cerebral, de care a suferit in urma cu caţiva ani, Dimitrie a paralizat pe partea dreapta. Din acest motiv, mult timp, el s-a deplasat foarte greu. Şi soţia lui a fost supusa unei intervenţii chirurgicale la ochi. Pe langa faptul ca a avut probleme cu vederea, Ana Velici s-a ales şi cu o ruptura de bazin, provocata de un accident rutier. ”Ne este foarte greu sa ne deplasam, dar ne ajutam unul pe celsalt şi zilele trec mult mai uşor. Cel mai greu pentru noi este sa ne facem cumparaturile sau sa pregatim mancarea nu avem apa trasa in casa si ne este greu sa aducem de la fantana”.
O viaţa dedicata lui Dumnezeu
Amandoi au facut legamant cu Dumnezeu şi şi-au incredinţat viaţa in mana Domnului.”Venitul nostru lunar este foarte mic şi nu putem sa ne intreţinem. Ne-am rugat Domnului sa ne poarte de grija. Ne-a raspuns rugaciunilor, iar prin programul Mana primim mancarea de care avem nevoie zilnic. Pentru noi este suficient daca avem ce sa mancam şi daca avem medicamentele foarte necesare”.
Primavara, soţii Velici se ocupa de mica gradina de zarzavat.”Am fost obişnuiţi sa muncim şi ne simţim mai bine cand avem cateva legume din gradina noastra”.In timpul iernii, le este mai greu. Ca sa faca economie, işi incalzesc o singura camera, in care-şi petrec timpul.
Uneori, mai sunt vizitaţi de copii şi de nepoţi, fiind foarte bucuroşi de vizita lor. Ei sunt mulţumiţi ca primesc zilnic mancare calda prin programul ”Mana”sustinuta de Asociatia Evanghelistica de Caritate ”Isus Speranţa Romaniei”.
In a simple, modest house, with two rooms and a kitchen that needs certain repairs, live these two, Ana and Dimitrie Velici, married for 50 years. Even though their sufferance stops/hinders them to manage on their own, they try to keep the house as clean as they can. They are not interested in the material things, what they really need are a hot meal and medicines to keep them healthy. They only income is the old man’s pension and they cover their monthly expenses: gas, electricity and meds.
Once with the age, the diseases stroke them and hindered them to manage by themselves. Dimitrie worked for many years at a local factory and from there he also retired. A few years ago he suffered a cerebral stroke and he got paralyzed on the right side of the body. For this reason, for such a long time he walked out pretty hard. His wife also had a surgery on the eyes. Beside these problems of the eyes, Ana Velici suffered from a pelvis fracture from a ruttier accident. ”It is quite difficult for us to move around, to buy all that we need and to prepare out daily meals, but we help each other and the days pass by easier. We do not have current water inside and taking from the pump sometimes is hard”.
A life dedicated to God
They both committed to God and put their lives into His hand. ”Our income is small and with this income humanly speaking we can not manage ourselves. We pray and we know God is in control. He answers our prayers and through the project ”Manna” we receive a hot meal every day. If we have what to eat and the most necessary meds, that would be enough”.
On spring, the family takes care of the vegetable garden. ”We are used to work and happy when we eat vegetables right from our own garden”. During winter time the living is much more difficult. In order to save some money and fire woods they heat only one room.
Sometimes, the children and grandchildren visit them. They are so happy to receive a hot daily meal through ”Manna” project, from The Evangelistic and Charitable Association ”Jesus the Hope of Romania”.
