- Casa “Fraţii lui Onisim” a fost înfiinţată în anul 1992, ca o necesitate pentru copiii străzii, locuitori ai canalelor, gărilor şi ghenelor de gunoi. La solicitarea pastorului Petru Dugulescu, primarul de atunci a municipiului Timişoara, Viorel Oancea, a pus la dispoziţie clădirea situată pe str. Dorobanţilor nr. 16, unde funcţionează şi acum acest centru.
- Activitatea casei “Fraţii lui Onisim” a început în 23 decembrie 1992 cu şapte copii aduşi din canalul din Piaţa 700, iar numărul lor a ajuns în scurt timp la 43.
- O parte dintre copii au fost integraţi în familia naturală. Unii sunt încredinţaţi unor familii de substitut care încearcă să le ofere dragostea şi educaţia de care au nevoie.
- În prezent în casa “Fraţii lui Onisim” sunt 15 copii, o familie a căror parinţi sunt Loredana şi Doru Mircea.
“Onesimus Brother’s House” was founded in 1992 by pastor Peter Dugulescu as a necessity for the street children, residents of the gutters, train stations and garbage dumps. The mayor of Timisoara county at that time, Viorel Oancea, made available the building on 16th Dorobanti Street, where the center exists even today.
• The activity of “Onesimus Brother’s House” started on the 23rd of December 1992 with seven children brought from the canals in Piata 700 ( a market place) and their number shortly went up to 43.
• The youth that have remained in the house are given help in depositing their salary in a personal account so that when they leave the house they will be able to take care of themselves and integrate into society.
- Now, there are 12 boys who live in the “Onesimus Brother’s House”, a family with Loredana and Doru Mircea as their parents.
